Summary: The district is rolling out new Proofpoint email protection coverage to all student and staff accounts on the Google email platform. Proofpoint is a set of tools used by the district to scan incoming emails for known security threats such as spam, phishing, and malware.
Who: Every staff and student will have access to the Portal. There are a variety of actions that can be taken from the portal.
How: At the bottom of the Daily Digest, there is a button that links to the portal. The button says, "Manage My Account". Clicking on this button will take you to the Proofpoint Portal

Actions you can take from the Proofpoint Portal:
Once you are in the portal, you can

Search for emails using the magnifying glass

Release and Allow Sender- releases the email and allows that sender to send directly to your inbox

Block sender- if you want to black all future emails from a sender

Allow sender- does not relase any emails- but allows all future emails from a sender

Release- releases any email
NOTE- Use these options wisely! Only release and allow emails you are positive are not phishing, spam or malicious.
